When their shots are done is when to start Basic Obedience


Basic Obedience:

Basic obedience starts once your dog has been fully vaccinated. This course is designed to teach your dog what words and hand signals mean. You will learn how to appropriately interact with your dog. With training your dog will now understand and respect your position as "pack leader". We will show you how to be a calm-assertive pack leader. We use a 15-foot leash for advanced training. Advanced training is working towards off-leash.

Basic Obedience is a 6 weeks course. The class description is as follows:

Week One: Heel (Walk) Sit No "OK" a release Verbal and physical signs and signals Week Two Automatic Sit Week Three Stay Week Four Down Week Five Come Week Six A repeat and review of the previous weeks

Always remember CRC- Command Reprimand Command.

When working with your dog you always need to be Hec- Happy Excited Cheerful.

Training should always end on a positive note!!!!

Socialization prevents aggression, fighting, and biting. We can modify bad habits and make them good citizens. They can and will be better being around other dogs and people. Exposing dogs to things that bother them and to new things will cause them to deal better in all situations. Socialize them in the car, pet stores, train, and shopping centers.

After completing the basic obedience class your dog will also be better:
